Motley Crue - Mega rare, authentic and genuine American Academy Of Music Award Presented to Motley Crue To Commemorate Their Contribution For The Success And Sales Of The Elektra Records Long Playing Record Album Motley Crue "Dr. Feelgood".
This award presented directly to Motley Crue is seldom seen and very sought after (much more than widely available RIAA etc.) and I was fortunate enough to acquire this piece directly from a former close friend to the band!
According to Motley Crue's Official Website;
Although Motley Crue is one of the most recognizable names in music and has been a standard sound in the rock & roll / heavy metal music world, the group has only earned one music industry award.
In 1990 Motley Crue was nominated in the favourite heavy metal/rock category both for band of the year and for album of the year Dr. Feelgood by American Music Academy, however unfortunately they did not win either award.
Later that year Dr. Feelgood went on to become a US Billboard Number One album, just in time for Tommy Lee's October birthday !!
The following year in 1991, the band was nominated for exactly the same awards, but this time they won the album award with Dr. Feelgood and this is one of the AAM Association awards!!!
Housed in a Black Wooden Frame and Plexiglass Cover this award is in mint condition, no damage, cracks, splits, marks etc.- seriously you would be hard pressed to find such an immaculate award!!
This award is extremely heavy and weighs 4kg without any packaging - so shipping will not be cheap. I am afraid shipping costs outside of the UK are non-negotiable!!
