Description
Up for auction is a nice, original copy of the Mothers Of Invention album "Freak Out!" originally released in the U.S.on Verve Records (V6-5005-2) in 1966.

Note:
First pressings of this album have the rare deep groove indentations on the labels, as this copy has. Most copies that are being sold as "original" on eBay are NOT original--they don't have deep groove labels, and they don't have the "map offer" on the interior of the gatefold cover, as this one does.
Condition:
The cover is in nice condition, with light signs of wear. No significant ring wear, just some light rubbing top and bottom middle. Top seams show some chipping and cracking--and beginning of small separations at the open ends. Spine it nice, titles intact. Interior is clean. Nicely preserved original. Grade: Very Good Plus (VG+).
Vinyl records are in very nice condition, still have their original glossy shine. They have a few very faint, superficial marks, especially in the run-out matrix, that you can see under a strong light, but nothing deep or serious, nothing you can feel or that would cause any audio problems. Labels are clean, unmarked. Very clean looking records.
Play-Tested: The records sound very good, generally clean full-bodied stereo sound. Have some light pressing noise on the run-in grooves, but it fades out once the music kicks in. Not audiophile clean, but none of these originals are--still very nice sounding original pressing. Grade: a strong Very Good Plus (VG+).
