MOTHERLIGHT - BOBAK, JONS, MALONE LP
This beautiful psych/prog album (as you will all know, the band is generally known as MOTHERLIGHT but that is actually the name of the album – the group was BOBAK, JONS, MALONE !) has quite an unsettling and spooky atmosphere throughout, with its superb use of dissonance and eerie lyrics on most tracks. It was originally released on Morgan Blue Town in 1970 and the band is probably best known for the brilliant track “HOUSE OF MANY WINDOWS” as this was included on the Morgan Blue Town compilation.
Although this purports to be on the Morgan Blue Town label and sports the original cat. No. BT 5003 I am fairly sure that THIS IS NOT AN ORIGINAL COPY. As it does not have the flip-back sleeve (and the labels are the wrong shade of blue ie too light !) it is probably one of the well known COUNTERFEITS from many years back (which, themselves, are now becoming quite rare and collectable in their own right !)
However it does have a lovely textured sleeve (just very little light ring-wear) and the vinyl is in nice glossy condition (with just the usual and inevitable few light surface lines which should not affect play). The nearest many of us are likely to get to the original without having to pay a fortune !

SATISFACTION GUARANTEED – As a record collector for many years, I know only too well that, despite the various systems now used, grading remains largely subjective, everyone essentially having their own ideas as to what NM-, EX+, VG++ etc. should mean ! Instead, I try to describe each individual record (via a visual inspection) as honestly and accurately as I can – perhaps to the point of being overly critical, as even new records, let alone those of 30-40 year vintage, can have some marks ! However, if your standards are even higher and you are genuinely unhappy with my assessment, a refund of the purchase price will be given upon return of the record within 14 days, at buyer’s expense, in the same condition as sent. Please bear in mind that many (if not most !) vinyl records usually have at least one or two light surface marks (lines/scuffs/grazing) mainly from their paper inner-sleeves. As these do not normally affect play at all, such slight imperfections may not necessarily be specifically mentioned in the item description. Should you require clarification/confirmation on any point which might be of importance to you, please ask before placing a bid. Whilst, of course, no extra charge is made for payments via PayPal, it would be very much appreciated if buyers, especially those within the UK could, wherever possible, make payment by other methods to help minimise costs. All albums are sent in new custom LP mailers with additional stiffeners/padding as necessary for secure shipment. However, as no responsibility can be accepted for items lost or damaged in transit, postal insurance is strongly recommended.
