MOSAIC MR5-102 GERRY MULLIGAN The Complete Pacific Jazz And Capitol Recordings Of The Original Quartette And Tentette With Chet Baker
A long-deleted 5LP box set, covering all the recordings that this famous musician made for the above labels 1952-53. This has the usual luxury booklet with high-definition photographs, full track listings and discographical details. There are no fewer than 15 previously unissued performances, plus several others where only edited versions of the tracks had been available before.(More information on request.)
DESCRIPTION/CONDITION : The discs are E+ to N- (VG++toM-), 'as new' apart from a few very minor light scuffs, visible under a bright 'grading' light. The box is E (VG+), with two 3cm splits in the middle of the bottom seam and halfway down the spine, both of the back half of the box; plus slight crushing damage to the top left hand corner and some surface rubbing. The result of this rubbing down the spine is that in places the silver lettering looks faded.
