Excellent collection of Greel Rebetica Music - Never Played.
original double lp box - mississippi / canary records - superb box with 2 lp's and and book detailing the history of the music - with 21 tracks, very early recordings mostly from the 30's, eastern roots songs about hash, drugs, loneliness, heartbreakin' women, the good life, etc, including "Kale Mana Den Mporo" by Spahanis, featuring Dimitris Gongos Bayianderas on his first(?!) recording as Yiorgos Manetas - many rare tracks by Jack Gregory (aka Ioannis Halikias), Markos Vamvakaris, Stellakis Perpiniadis, etc - book with 16 pages, including history of mortika & rebetica & the first recordings in Greece, presentation of the instruments (bouzouki, baglamas, santouri, mandola), glossary of the greek argo (meraklis, mortis, harmania, teke, etc), black & white photos, detailed tracklist with recording dates, featured musicians, song lyrics in greek & english, artists biographies, song stories and much more - Mint Condition.
