Description
Morocco -- "Opa Kukla" b/w "Ela 'Tho" 7"
Original 1967 US promo release on MGM Records (catalog # K13496, "Special Disc Jockey Record - Not For Sale"), in generic MGM sleeve.Fantastic heavy Eastern psych DJ 45 from 1967. This single was comped a couple years ago on Waking Up Scheherazade: Arabian Garage Psych Nuggets From The 60's And Early 70's. They refer to the group as being from Armenia/USA. Other sources refer to this as a Greek group. Whatever the case, both sides of this single are killer psych tracks, rockers with a groovy Arabic melodic vibe and recorded with a lot of punch.
CONDITION: / Vinyl NM vinyl is near pristine. Graded conservatively using Goldmine standards [G / G+ / VG / VG+ / NM / ]grade only used if record is brand new.
