Description
Here is a copy of the soundtrack lp to the classic surf movie Morning of the Earth. Its an Australian Pressing on the Warner Bros label (WS20004). The movie was directed by Alby Falzon and was released in the early 1970’s, and is notable as it documents the discovery of Uluwatu in Bali, and features the surfing of a young Michael Peterson. It is considered one of the greatest surf movies of all time, and the music on the soundtrack is equally impressive (Tamam Shud, Brian Cadd, G Wayne Thomas, John J Francis etc).
The soundtrack lp is one of the most collectable Australian albums of all time and is quite valuable, especially in this condition. This is by far the cleanest copy I have ever come across!
The cover is in (Ex) condition. It’s very clean with no edge, corner, or shelf wear. No writing, stickers, sticker residue or ugly creases. The only minor flaws are some barely noticeable ringwear on the back of the gatefold, and a few very small hairline creases.
The vinyl is (Ex). Bright and glossy with a few barely noticeable marks on either side. I didn’t bother playing this copy, but it should sound as good as it looks!
The labels are (Ex). Clean and sharp, with one very light spindle mark on side 2.
The inner dust sleeve and a sealable plastic outer sleeve are in very good condition. All in all, a fantastic playing or display copy of this classic lp. Can be picked up from Mt Martha, Vic, or will post in a cardboard record mailer and padded bag anywhere in Aus for $9.00. Registered Post is available for an additional $2.95 and is highly recommended for an album of this value! I will consider swapping the lp for other surf or surf movie lp’s, just let me know what you have got. Thanks for looking, good luck!
