1972 UK RCA STEREO SF-8321 + INSERT
This is the extremely rare and very hard to find original 1972 uk first pressing with single sleeve and folded lyric insert, when copies of this album surface for sale they are almost always pressed in italy with a top loading gatefold sleeve, this uk pressing really is very rare and very hard to find.
This superb 1972 album was recorded by the little known uk progressive rock band MORGAN, the group featured former members of The Love Affair and Mott the Hoople, the line-up also included vocalist Tim Staffell who was a member of the pre-Queen group 'SMILE' with Brian May & Roger Taylor, this MORGAN album actually contains a brilliant spacey version of the 'Smile' track 'Earth'. Some say that Tim Staffell's powerful tenor voice resembles that of Freddie Mercury and when listening to his excellent vocals on this album you can hear for yourself why. "Nova Solis" is, in true progressive rock style, a concept album, but with none of the pompousness associated with the genre, the album is a mixture of beautiful acoustic tunes with aggressive synths over a powerful rhythm section, it shows power and versatility from beginning to end, this rare musically excellent album will definitely not disappoint the fan of progressive rock music.

The original first press vinyl is in really beautiful ultra-clean near mint condition, this rare album has been barely played at all and actually still looks brand new, there are no surface marks to mention at all, even in strong light the most you will see are a few ultra-light sleeve withdrawal traces. This album has only ever had just one or two plays on a decent turntable so the sound quality is amazing throughout. All tracks play and sound as new with the absolute minimal amount of light hiss/static/crackle. This is just a flawless vinyl copy of this very rarely offered uk pressed complex progressive rock album.
Both orange RCA labels are just about perfect with no marks or wear at all.
The single card sleeve is in very good+ condition, the edges and spine do have some noticeable areas of storage wear and there is some very light wear and creasing to the front and back but otherwise this cover is fine. The original folded lyric insert is in excellent condition showing nothing more than some very light signs of age and handling.
The white paper inner sleeve is in very good+ condition.
A musically superb very rare 1972 uk progressive rock album that will not disappoint

I pack my records very well. The vinyl and inner sleeve will be removed from the cover to avoid seem/edge splits in transit, plenty of rigid cardboard support will be used to avoid corners bending, this album will reach you in the same condition as advertised.
