Description

"Music Of Our Time : Columbia's Exiting New Series: M.O.O.T. : A Guide To The Electronic Revolution In Music with examples from works by Babbit, Cage, Foss, Oliveros, Pousseur, Stockhausen and others. Narrated by John McClure" EP on late 1960's (?) promotional US issue Columbia Masterworks Records # MT 1 stereo ..The "demonstration only" picture sleeve has some minor storage wear, and a small tear on the top middle, and is overall in very good condition...comes with a 2 sided information insert as well...The promotional only vinyl has some minor storage wear, and one light scratch, but played perfectly, and is easily in very good plus condition, play graded at near mint....I use Goldmine magazine's strict guidelines for rating records, and most dealers think I rate TOO hard!!! .....Sent first class for $3 or priority for $6 in the USA...Mailed in a special hard cardboard 45 mailer for the best ride to your house. ....I will combine multiple orders as well ...

Strange EP here! Has snippets of music & PERFORMED by The BYRDS, Chambers Brothers, Moby Grape, New York Philharmonic / Leonard Bernstein, David Tudor, The Brandeis University Chamber Chorus / Alvin Lucier and others listed in the EP's title (listed above)..produced by David Behrman...Runs about 25 minutes total, and has a running narration with all the weird electronic effects in the classical and psych clips- sort of reminds me of a Twilight Zone episode with Rod Sterling narration!

side one : Stcokhausen: Mikrophonie I, II / Bernstein Conducts Music Of Our Time vol II / New Electronic Music from Leaders of the Avant-Garde : Babbit Ensembles for Synthesizer, Cage Variations II (David Tudor piano), Pousseur Trios Visages de Liege .....side 2 : New Sounds In Electronic Music : Maxfield Night Music, Reich Come Out, Oliveros 1 of IV, Extended Voices : Oliveros Sound Patterns, Lucier North American Time Capsule 1967, Cage solos for Voice 2, Ashley She Was A Visitor, Ichyanagi Extended Voices, Feldman Chorus and Instruments (II), Christian Wolff in Cambridge (The Brandeis University Chamber Chorus - Lucier Director ....and all this with the rock band snippets and narration!!
