Description
*** MONO *** VELVET UNDERGROUND And NICO LP - Warhol - BANANA - Unpeeled
The jacket is in great condition. Unpeeled. No rips or seam splits. Only the light dirt rates it a "VG+". Punch hole on the bottom left corner. West coast version labeled with sides A & B. ( the east coast version is labeled sides "1 & 2" ). No Emerson torso, this is the 3rd Version. Please scroll down for complete information. Visible scratches, light surface noise. I'm not sure which is the original Verve sleeve, so I'm including both. Domestic shipping includes full insurance.

Notes: There are three versions of the back cover of the original American release:
1st - Has an image of actor Eric Emerson projected upside-down on the wall behind the band.
2nd - The actor's image is covered by a large black sticker.
3rd - The actor's image is airbrushed out.
Historical info: The actor Eric Emerson, protagonist of some multimedia films projected behind the group during the EPI, filed a lawsuit against the record label for the non-payment of the rights regarding his image that can be seen upside down on the back cover of the first version. So between March and April 1967 the album was suddenly withdrawn from trade and shops. After a few months, the album was redistributed in a few copies with a huge sticker that covered the top of the photo.
