The KNICKERBOCKERS were together for only three years, their biggest hit was "Lies" in 1966. It was mistaken by many to be a track by The Beatles. Their other songs were in the same vein of the Merseybeat rock/pop sound, but they never reached the heights they had with "Lies." But this is a classic album. A true must-have for fans of the sixties, their best of three albums the band released. The first side of the "LIES" album contains British Invasion inspired rockers, while the songs on the second side sound much more American. 'Lies' is a solid album all the way through. It is a shame that the band never recorded any more albums. If you enjoy 'Tobacco Road' by The Nashville Teens, you should like this album.

CONDITION: The cover, being dark in color, is prone to shelf wear, especially 45 years later This cover is "EX" (excellent) clean and 'sound' in all areas, having no split seams, no bends and no writing.
The vinyl is very clean. "EX" (excellent) and plays top level (M-) ...the only minor problem is the original owner who took such great care of this artifact, wrote his name in small letters on one side of (one) label. As well, and even smaller is a name stamp. That being said the dark blue label with the black ink doesn't show up all that much. It's an otherwise very nice original
