Even today, when you guys hear the Swingin' Medallions sing "Double Shot of My Baby's Love, " it will makes you want to stand outside in the hot sun with a milkshake cup full of beer in one hand and a slightly-drenched nineteen-year-old coed in the other...hmmm
MINTY CLEAN ORIGINAL 1965 first pressing of classic GARAGE frat raw raved-up rock grooves...in glorious MONO with the punchy bold production !!!
These happening frat cats scored a surprise nation-wide smash with DOUBLE SHOT OF MY BABY'S LOVE with the irresistable catchy 'melody' led by rollicking rollar rink organ ... the rest of the album follows suit in the same manner, fun listening raw garage cookers that swing like the Medallions!
The garage scene was happening in every block across the United States and Georgia was no different...the teen bands with the hopes of attaining a *hit* and/or becoming the next Rolling Stones ...while The SWINING MEDALLIONS didn't become the next STONES, they did score a big big national hit and that's just the start of their "beer party" stompin' sixties grooves....straight from the garage!
