We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. RARE... 1961 FIRST PRINTING in glorious MONO ... for sure, one of the lesser seen Ventures albums, really special when considering the 1961 MONO original is in exceptionally clean shape given it's 53 years old...

If ever there was a “band that launched a thousand bands,” it would be the Ventures. Founded in Tacoma, Washington in 1958, their guitar-based garage/surf sound would prove hugely influential, inspiring countless followers to pick up a guitar, bass or set of drumsticks and try to emulate their heroes. As these musical neophytes would soon learn, it wasn’t as easy as it initially appeared. The Ventures were masters of tone and technique, deftly arranging their instruments in a seamless approach that was instantly recognizable. Because they were a vocaless group, their songs needed no translation, which resulted in a huge worldwide following. While many rock bands have claimed to be “big in Japan” over the years, the Ventures were the country’s first rock superstars and they maintain a devoted worldwide following to this day. With over 100 million records sold, they are the best-selling surf/garage band of all time.

Sounding ever more confident with each release, the Ventures tackle all kinds of moods on this one! The two compositions are solid ("Josie" is in fact one of their finest originals ever - it's a GREAT ballad with memorable melody!) and the covers they've chosen represent a really well-written batch of diversity, including the vibrato-murdered "Ghost Riders In The Sky," the spy chuggers "Bulldog" and "Ginchy," the bouncy as a ball "Wheels," the gorgeous "Last Dance." There's some excellent, beautiful guitar interplay (which is nice), as well as some different tones and things to compare and contrast.
