Description

MODERNE NORDEUROPÄISCHE DORFMUSIK : West Berliner Stadtmusik 1969 LP (Edition Mariental [Germany] 3331) 1969.

Record is excellent with minimal light marks only. Cover (flimsy fold-over) is VG+ with light ring-wear, a sticker tear at the top-right, and a few minor creases at the edges.

Nice copy of the only original release by this legendary Berlin free jazz/improv trio founded by drummer Sven-Åke Johansson, along with the rarely-recorded free guitarist Norbert Eisbrenner and bass player Werner Götz. This was issued on CD in 1999 by the German Leiterwagen label, but it's never been reissued on vinyl, and even the CD issue seems to be pretty obscure these days.

Along with the early self-released Peter Brötzmann LPs (also featuring Johansson), this is one of the few original vinyl documents of the pre-FMP German free underground. Rare.
