Lovely and highy-collectable Italian Library -VERY RARE and tough to find- by the Oscar Rocchi's MODERN SOUND QUARTET composed of O.Rocchi on Piano Fender / Electronic Keyboards, bassist Luigi Cappellotto, Ernesto Verardi on guitar and Andrea Surdi at the drums. Same album released on FonoVideo under the title "COCKTAIL-BAR" FLP116. Well, this amazing album contains the track "Eerie Night" that has been sampled 7 times between 2012 and 2014 by Hip Hop/R&B artists. Explosive Cocktail of very Funky and tasty Jazz, Rock, Disco and Lounge music. Mood music with some great Jazz-Funk samples as usual for Oscar Rocchi's productions in some points recalling the killer 'Pop-Paraphrenia' sounds with dope oddtempo Psychedelic sleazy Disco-Funk Jazz grooves. Underrated album and seriously hard to find on this edition. All tracks are 2-3 minutes long with a common nocturnal taste. Spacey Jazz on side A opener "NIGHT FLIGHT", with great Funky riffs and just superb Jazz drums as for the entire album, Jazzy Piano notes on very groovy pattern. "EERIE NIGHT" wonderful overnight Lounge trip with a kind of dark feeling, brilliant sample. "I CAN'T LEAVE YOU ALONE" stunning Piano Fender Loungy Jazz-Funky with great oddtempo drumming, Funky & Psychedelic in very similar style of best Psych Jazz of Pop-Paraphrenia. "CROOKED STREET" another winner jam, zig-zaggin' theme in Psychedelic-Disco & Funky way, Piano Fender to spice all. Aggressive Disco-Funk on closing "DOWNHILL CHASE" with Psychedelic Lounge guitar notes, fast Disco drums for a wild groover. On the other side "CLOUDY MOON" sky night theme with cloudy rhythms. "STORMY SIX" dope Jazz-Rock dark theme with usual superb oddtempo drums, very very nice reminder for rain and winds. "NIGHT ROCK" is Psychedelic-Disco-Funky-Rock dancefloor burner, classic late '70s Disco cabaret style, Rock sounding and Moody. "FLYING HIGH" romantic ending theme for a classic late '70s cult movie. Don't sleep on this gem!
