From 1967, out of California, comes Moby Grape with their debut album on Columbia CL2698 MONO "finger" cover with a stereo 360 original LP numbered CS9498. It has the poster which is airbrushed to remove the finger that is on the cover! This is a rare transitional copy of this 13 track album (I have seen others). Columbia Records received much flak for Don Stevenson giving the finger in the photo which was used on the cover and poster,originally, so they began to change it by first including airbrushed posters and using the remaining "finger" covers. After these covers were used up, all the later covers had the airbrushed photos. This is a rare transitional copy when the word came down from higher up to change the photo on the cover and poster. VERY rare!!

ALL ITEMS GRADED VISUALLY WITH 150 WATT BULB AND 34 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE!! I GRADE VISUALLY ONLY, PLEASE DO NOT ASK ME HOW THE LP SOUNDS REGARDING POPS,CLICKS,ETC. I DO NOT PLAY THE LPS. THE GRADING I GIVE THE LP IS MEANT TO TAKE INTO ACCOUNT HOW IT WILL SOUND!!
ANY AND ALL FLAWS WILL BE LISTED AND DESCRIBED IN DETAIL BEFORE THE GRADING IS GIVEN. IF THERE IS NO PARTICULAR FLAW LISTED, THEN IT IS NOT PRESENT IN THE ITEM! IF THERE ARE NO FLAWS LISTED AT ALL, THEN THE ITEM IS EITHER MINT MINUS, STILL SEALED OR NEW AND NEVER PLAYED. THE DEFINITION OF VG+ IS THAT THE RECORD HAS SOME MARKS BUT WILL PLAY FINE AND HAS MANY PLAYS LEFT. THE DEFINITION OF VG++ IS THAT THE RECORD MAY HAVE A MARK OR TWO, BUT LOOKS EXTREMELY CLOSE TO NEAR MINT AND HAS A LOT OF LIFE LEFT! THE DEFINITION OF MINT MINUS IS THAT THE ITEM HAS BEEN TOUCHED BY HUMAN HANDS AND PERHAPS PLAYED ONCE.FLAWS: Tiny bit of white on bottom seam lower right near seam opening where shrink tore. Poster has a tiny tack hole in each corner,one corner has a tiny amount of paper missing in this area. Light browning along top center seam of poster.
GRADING: Cover is VG++,poster is VG++ and record is MINT MINUS!
