Description
I am selling a friend's copy of Earl Klugh - Finger Paintings on Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs MFSL 1-025. This is one of a very limited number of deluxe numbered albums issued by Mobile Fidelity in the early 1980's, all considered landmark pressings of the respective albums. Other issues include Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon, Beatles - Sgt. Pepper, Supertramp - Crime of the Century and Cat Stevens - Tea Fr The Tillerman. All Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab pressings are all half-speed mastered. All UHQR's were a limited pressing run of 5000, pressed on 200 gram vinyl which was unique at the time. All were pressed by JVC in Japan for highest pressing quality. This copy is #4436.
I play-checked this record on a modified Rega Planar 3 with a Goldring 1042 cartridge. The record plays near mint. Side one is very quiet. Side two has very slight noise at the beginning. Visually, the record looks near mint. The top cover of the box has one lower left corner corner split. No splits on the bottom box cover. There is a little wear mainly on the bottom of the box cover. with wear in the lower corners. The inner album cover has a 3" split at the top. All original inserts are here, including the Technical Specifications manual and the certificate of authenticity with the pressing number 4436. I cleaned the record on my Klaudio KL-200 ultrasonic cleaning machine, the best I have ever owned.
