1999 180 gram audiophile vinyl pressing of the classic 1966 rock / pop milestone!
Capitol/ EMI 72435-21241-1-4
This edition is the first true stereo release of the Beach Boys' masterpiece. The new mix was supervised by Brian Wilson and mastered by Mark Linnett.
VINYL & COVER are both NEAR MINT (NM): Clean, super-quiet audiophile vinyl with fantastic dynamics. Cover is in original shrink wrap with hype sticker (see photo). No bends, tears or creases and solid spine.
This particular pressing is EXTREMELY RARE AND HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER BY COLLECTORS:
The following vocal line on the album's opener, Wouldn't It Be Nice, was originally sung by Mike Love and appears in the original mono mix. However, Brian Wilson himself sings....
"Maybe if we think and wish and hope and pray it might come true....Maybe then there wouldn't be a single thing we couldn't do..."
After much protest from Love, Wilson quietly revised this very 1999 stereo mix to include Love's original vocal as heard in the hit mono version.
THIS PRESSING CONTAINS THE RARE FIRST TRUE STEREO MIX WITH THE WILSON VOCAL.
