MISSING LINKS “Wild About You” RARE 1965 Aussie PHILIPS 7” garage punk freakbeat R&B

The Missing Links – Wild About You (orig. Australia Philips MONO BF-224)

Release date: September 1965.

On offer here is an ULTRA RARE original issue of the second 7” single by THE MISSING LINKS.  Not to be confused with the American acts of the same name, this group hailed from Sydney, Australia.  The A-side “Wild About You” is a raucous GARAGE PUNK original, whilst the equally impressive flipside “Nervous Breakdown” is a wild re-interpretation of the EDDIE COCHRAN hit.  Both sides of this 45 are two of the FINEST AUSSIE 1960’s GARAGE PUNK TRACKS EVER COMMITTED TO VINYL!  Be sure to check out the YouTube links below.

Record:

visual: FAIR : retains satisfactory lustre despite numerous scuffs (mainly hairlines) & surface scratches (nothing significant but please note the disc is heavily scuffed).  IMPOSSIBLY RARE IN ANY CONDITION - GOOD LUCK TRYING TO FIND ANOTHER!

audible: PUNCHY and VIBRANT SOUND despite some underlying surface noise/crackle & occasional light pops—music still dominates! (side 1: VG-, side 2: G > more pops are evident on side 2).  THE GREAT NEWS IS THAT THIS 45 PLAYS THROUGH WITHOUT ANY JUMPS OR SKIPS!
