ONE OF A KIND ! MISFITS or SAMHAIN - ARCHANGLE 10" ACETATE. one sided 6:15 sec long hear is the song on you tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J42-d0pojqc i kinda hate to sell this one, but i need to fund another project. got this a few years back for a cutter. what i understand it was supose to be fan club release, but the original buyer never payed the cutter for the record (proberly got scared to release it), anyway me being a collector, i snaped it up for my personal collection. but after getting it , i have been very confused on exactly what it is. this is the longer version 6:15 seconds ,compleat song , the ending is Not like the one on the samhain Lp , this is what some people are calling the misfits version , or samhain with one of the other misfits guys. i dont want to call this the misfits , more likely samhain. below is all the info i could find from the internet web pages ,below (see the info in red-this is the compleat song) : at the end of the day -this is NOT an offical release - but a fan club type of releases that never got released as far as i can tell "The Misfits version is longer than the later Samhain recording, with less rhythm guitar and additional choruses after the guitar solo. Unlike the Samhain version, it comes to a complete ending and does not fade out. It has never been released." Info File: Misfits / Samhain (Al Pike)

Let me say up front that nobody has proven to me either way that this is the Misfits version or the Al Pike Samhain version. (See the information below from Misfits Central.) All that I can say is that I've had this for 3-4 years, which is way before the recent mp3 surfaced. My original source says trust him, it is the Misfits version. People on the Misfits Central forum say trust them, it is the Samhain Al Pike version. But neither has offered proof that they are correct. [The "you can hear it by listening carefully" argument is baseless. You have nothing to compare this version to besides the released version.] If anyone can definitely determine which version this is (meaning undisputable, verifiable proof), please share it with us. Until then, please share this as Misfits/Samhain (Al Pike) – Archangel demo. Enjoy. ---------- Information from [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Misfits version: 03//1981: Mix-O-Lydian Studio; Boonton, NJ 1 Archangel 6:15 Format: 16-track tape Lineup:
Glenn Danzig: drums, guitar, vocals
Jerry Only: bass Author: Glenn Danzig Publisher: Hell-bent Music Notes: According to interviews with Glenn Danzig, Steve Zing, and Al Pike, "Archangel" was recorded by Danzig and Jerry Only at Mix-O-Lydian Studio in 1981. Dave Vanian of The Damned was supposed to join them in the studio later to add his own vocal track, replacing Danzig's. When this did not happen, Danzig abandoned the song until August 1983 when he overdubbed new tracks with Samhain for release on Initium. The Misfits version is longer than the later Samhain recording, with less rhythm guitar and additional choruses after the guitar solo. Unlike the Samhain version, it comes to a complete ending and does not fade out. It has never been released.

At this session, Danzig added background vocal tracks and an additional bass drum track. Al Pike recorded a new bass track directly over Jerry Only's original.
