Description
On offer is The Miracles Northern Soul/Motown 7" Single "I Gotta Dance To Keep From Crying" from 1964.
This is an excellent if somewhat unusual uptempo dancer with a conversation at the beginning and towards the end the music fades away to leave only the vocals before the backing returns. Written and produced by the legendary team of Holland-Dozier-Holland but is unlike anything else by them. The B-Side is an almost doo-wop-style ballad with a strange vocal from Smokey Robinson who also wrote it..
This is the original UK release on the Stateside label and is in immaculate condition for a record very nearly 50 years old. It was their first and rarest release on the label
