Description
PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us. Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING: USA ~ 1 LP = $4.00 Media Priority rates vary by area; please inquire. In 1973 Atlantic released a comprehensive 23 track, double album overview set entitled "Buffalo Springfield". Pulling together the cream of the band's studio catalog, the set included the hits, near hits, charming misses, and a couple of oddities (notably Young's 'Broken Arrow' and Furay's radio promotion 'In the Hour of Not Quite Rain.' The main feature - worth the ticket alone is an unreleased 9 minute version of "Bluebird" unavailable elsewhere. It has not been re-issued on compact disc or vinyl.
‘Bluebird’ is one of the band’s definitive songs. That chiming 12-string acoustic of Stills runs hand-in-hand with the biting raunchy guitar of Young for a match made in heaven. The song is pop perfection in its original form on the band’s second album, but just for the hell of it, Atco dug in their vaults and selected the rare nine-minute long fuzz-jam version that has never been released elsewhere. It’s kind of been forgotten over the years, in no small part due to being unavailable, Any way you slice it, it’s a fantastic jammer!
Bottom line, for those who desire instant gratification of nothing but the cream of the crop, the whole album is a great place to go for some truly excellent late 60's west coast rock. Worthy of note is that two other tracks feature different track times here, than the original album times: "For What It's Worth" (3:00 here, 2:37 on the album), but it's the same version and actually clocks in at about 2:46. The other is "Expecting to Fly", 3:29 here, 3:39 on the album, but again, the same track.
