PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING:
RARE 1975 MINT CLEAN ORIGINAL RELEASE
CUSTOM ZAPPA/CAPTAIN BEEFHEART STICKER

ZAPPA / BEEFHEART
BONGO FURY
USA - DISCREET RECORDS - 2234
MINT CLEAN ... FINAL COLLECTION COPY!
Captain Beefheart's LAST Zappa Involvement on VINYL! Frightfully entertaining!
Containing the RARE sticker: ZAPPA / BEEFHEART "Live In Concert Armadillo World Headquarters Austin Texas May 20th & 21 1975 " that was originally on the outside shrink wrapper of first pressings - really a hard sticker to find...
Original 1975 printing of "Bongo Fury" - a combined live and studio album by Frank Zappa & Captain Beefheart that was released in October 1975 ..."Bongo Fury" is the last Frank Zappa album where his band was listed as The Mothers.
The seven (7) live tracks on the album were recorded on May 20 & 21, 1975 at the Armadillo World Headquarters in Austin, Texas and features among others Frank Zappa´s old friend Captain Beefheart on harmonica, harp and vocals. The two studio tracks ( "200 Years Old" and "Cucamonga") were recording during the same January 1975 sessions that spawned most of the material that was used on "One Size Fits All (1975)" and "Studio Tan (1978)". The intro to "Muffin Man" is also a studio recording while the rest of the song is from the concert in Austin. The live tracks introduce new drummer Terry Bozzio while the two studio tracks feature Chester Thompson on drums.
The album features a rather mixed bag of songs. The opening avant garde rocker "Debra Kadabra" and the heavy closing track "Muffin Man" are a couple of the several highlights here. The solo that closes the latter is fantastic. Both "Carolina Hard-Core Ecstasy" and "Advance Romance" are Zappa "classics"; the vocal harmonies and the intricate details in the former and the guitar solo and the funny lyrics in the latter are pretty great. The two prose readings "Sam With the Showing Scalp Flat Top" and "Man With the Woman Head" by Captain Beefheart are quite entertaining. The rest of the songs are good to excellent.
The musicianship is, as always, outstanding. The added raw vocals by Captain Beefheart is a real treat but the rest of the band are also extremely well playing. The album features both avant garde/ experimental rock and blues rock. Both styles are handled with ease by the band.
The production is organic and powerful, suiting the music well
