In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Listening to this album in Stereo is highly recommended, because the effects are insane.
Tomorrow is a nice blend of '60s popsike positioned somewhere between Barrett-era Floyd and the Beatles circa Revolver.
After the band disbanded, guitarist Steve Howe later joined progressive rock band "Yes", whilst Twink joined The Pretty Things on their concept album, S.F. Sorrow, before forming The Pink Fairies.
The Tomorrow album is chocked full of secret messages, references, and insights ... obviously the band didn’t rely on the less-is-more approach, but rather thought to overwhelm the fans with their wisdom, inside jokes, and secret handshakes. It’s sad that the musical times and landscape changed so completely that this little gem never really found the surrealistic psychedelic niche in time to save itself from almost complete oblivion.
The opening track, and probably the best of the lot, “My White Bicycle,” holds a double reference ... the first being a nod to Albert Hofmann, the creator of LSD in 1943, who was riding home on his bicycle when the acid kicked in and opened his mind. The second is a reference to the Dutch practice of communal bicycles, which were painted white, and could be used by anyone. The second track directly challenges Colonel Brown of Cambridge University and his unusually harsh actions as a strict disciplinarian, acting as a lightening rod to challenge the strict senseless rules of society. “Auntie Mary’s Dress Shop” is an obvious take on both “Penny Lane” by The Beatles, and “Dedicated Follower Of Fashion” by The Kinks, and no doubt a bit of truth as related to the lads themselves. It’s here that Tomorrow actually give up their pretenses and cover “Strawberry Fields Forever,” though bring little new to the table. “Three Jolly Little Dwarfs” is a psychological metaphor for people who envision themselves as both adults and children at the same time ... failing that, then then boys were actually stoned on Acid watching dwarfs romp in the summer sun; an image that never ceases to make one smile. This leaves “Hallucinations” [owing way too much to Cream, and what would become known as “Sea Of Joy,” by Blind Faith] and “My White Bicycle” as the standout everlasting tracks, and the ones you need.
Despite all this, Tomorrow are a stunning reflection of the times from which they rose, being the first band ever to record a John Peel Radio 1 session. And that’s probably Tomorrow’s greatest failing, that they reflected the times, rather than creating the times. It’s not really a comfortable album to say the least, filled with the inherent trippy visionary wordplays... never the less, this little ditty is a must-have, or at least a must-listen, for anyone seeking to connect the dots, as it is some of the best popsike that was unleashed in the days of the '60s swinging London scene.
