We have a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records.   Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 2/3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers.

We mail all paid orders out once a week on Fridays/Saturdays. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule to Monday.   We strive to keep our shipping and handling costs as close to actual charges as reasonable.  We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. Please be aware we have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.

***STILL IN ORIGINAL FACTORY SHRINK WRAPPER...*best* copy seen in ages...

Featuring six tracks, all singles and outtakes mostly taken from the early Seventies (although 'Portable People' dates back to as far as 1968). And the last track out of these six, the epic jam session 'Boogie On', with band mates Chick Churchill, Ric Lee and Leo Lyons jaming up a storm, absolute virtuosos, and when Alvin Lee steps in and delivers his red-hot guitar solo, featuring all of his usual aural gimmicks, well....

The other five tracks are classic Ten Years after boogie-blues rockings, represented by 'Rock Your Mama' and 'Hold Me Tight'; 'Standing At The Crossroads'; and 'Portable People'; and then'The Sounds' is somewhat of an 'experimental' piece, with the obligatory synth effects and a dark, desperate mood. It is a highlight on the album, with gloomy, almost goth backing vocals, an angry delivery from Alvin and lots of highly distorted, paranoid guitar.

The tracks on both sides ultimately display the band at what they're doing best - just rocking it off. 'Rock Your Mama', in fact, can be taken as a little teenage brother to 'I'm Going Home', with a very similar tension-mounting/calming down going on all the time. 'Hold Me Tight' bops along pretty well... The band rip it up for 'Crossroads' - it's pretty mighty all by itself, and the funny thing is that it was recorded live, which hints at the band paying an obvious tribute to Cream. Finally, 'Portable People' is in the 'Two Time Mama' vein, which means it's lightweight, funny, charming and pretty. And catchy.
