Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. 1968 RARE first print on the small California based MOTHERS Records label
Very hip GARAGE PSYCH & POPSIKE band who feature on their only LP a vast array of self composed catchy nuggets all laced up with the "right sound"...farfisa/fuzz guitar dominated...somewhere in a cross between the Orphan Egg & the SMOKE (USA group with LP on "Sidewalk")
"A Happening With The Novells" is well worth exploring if you like garage/psych bands like Tangerine Zoo, or, Orphan Egg (who they often sound like) offering very solid tracks on both sides, dominated with infectious tuness led with werving organ and fuzz guitar.The Novells consisted of Bob Archer (guitar), Ed Benson (bass), Chip Moore (drums) and Terry Tibbets (keyboards). The LP has attained celebrity status in collectors circles, with a highly consistent mix of garage popsike and fuzz driven garage rock. Original pressings of this Lp have all but dried up and becoming very scarce - so much so that there was a recent 500 edition second pressing issued due to collector interests.
There are some really awesome songs on this album like the opening track “Almost There”, and their take on “Sitting On the Dock Of The Bay” is AMAZING, surpassing the original, and elsewhere with killer tracks like the tasty fuzz guitar dominated “Love” ...etc etc...
