PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Landscape of Life is the more eclectic work of the classical line-up of Osanna. At the peak of their form, they divert back to the styles of their fantastic L'UOMO ((1st)) Lp. Heavily electric, full of distortions, the album highlights the distorted flute of Elio Danna and the guitar of Danilo Rustici (check out the guitar work of Rustici in the superb closing song).As noted above, the band desired to return to the style of their first album, "L'Uomo".Highlights include: The long, complex opener "Il castello dell'Es" (The castle of Es) begins softly, then turns into a wild jazzy finale expressing doubts and fears about life and future and a strong need for freedom, freedom to love, freedom to dream, freedom to live and to believe in God... "I am fire / I am Time / I am water / Perhaps I am nothing...". Elsewhere, "Two Boys" is excellent straight- ahead hard prog-rock that sounds like it should have been on "L'Uomo".A great piece with lots of whirling flute. "Il Castro Dell'e" harkens to the best moments of "Palepoli" with the mysterious flutes and equally mysterious Mellotron. Here the band chose to sing in Italian, which really benefits their style. "Fog on my Mind" is adventurous and aggressive with a multitude of ethnic percussion. "River/Somewhere, Somehow, Sometime" really soars, and reminiscent of the best of their great "Palepoli" Lp, with sputtering flute, great vocals, and aggressive passages. Overall, a well-crafted progressive rock album with some nice complex ideas...

The vinyl: Clean and glossy over both sides, rated: M- TOP COPY expect very clean enjoyable audio...NO distracting surface problems ... both P.I. Cosmos labels are clean with exception of the "secret" stamped on both sides (minor looking)
