PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Original 1986 first pressing of a GREAT undergrated WEST COAST popsike Lp - very unique for the West Coast, veers towards Sgt Pepper Beatles & Idle Race influences and grows like fubgus with repeat plays!

The Family Tree were not your usual WEST COAST band, infact, though they were from the San Francisco area, they sounded more like a 'swinging London' British pop psych band in direction of "Sgt Pepper" meets The Idle Race = featuring catchy tunes that grow with repeat plays and all the 'pepperland' styled production ...
A Classic of West Coast Psychpop, and a much sought after gem....after the breakup of San Francisco garage groups The Brogues ("Ain't No Miracle Worker"), most members went on to Quicksilver Messenger Service....bassist Bill Whittington formed the Family Tree with Bob Segarini of the Ratz and the enigmatic Lee Michaels....the latter soon dropped out, and a couple of innovative singles for the mysterious Los Angeles based Mira Label brought them to the attention of not only RCA, but singer songwriter, Harry Nilsson....with input from Harry (at this time being hailed as a genius by the Beatles and writing songs for everyone from the Monkees and the Turtles on down) the FAMILY TREE Embarked on the semi-conceptual album "Miss Butters"....an amazing semi-lost gem of West Coast psychpop genius on a par with "Sgt Pepper" Beatles styles, songs and hooks.

CONDITION: The cover: Usually found with shelf wear because of the dark color, this copy is an exception, MINT in factory shrink wrap (there is a tiny (very small) delete at bottom right, otherwise prisie in every way & all over!) TOP LEVEL...been very well handled, has no split seams, no bends, no writing and very sharp looking...definite keeper copy....The original '60s store price sticker still on outer cellophane
The vinyl: is all glossy clean and smooth on both sides, MINT ...looks so fresh it looks unplayed - how can you better that??? The old RCA Victor dog labels are clean...
