Not only were The Move one of the greatest transitional psych bands of the Sixties, but Jeff Lynne and other bandmembers also set the agenda for the 70s with Electric Light Orchestra as well. Formed in 1966, The Move was originally Roy Wood, Carl Wayne, Bev Bevan, Trevor Burton and Chris Kefford, who left in '68. Rick Price and then in 1970 Jeff Lynne also joined the band.
This LP was produced by Jeff Lynne and Roy Wood for Straight Ahead Productions. It features ROY WOOD on oboe, sitar, slide guitar, 'cello, guitar, bass & all saxes. JEFF LYNNE on piano, guitar, percussion & drums (on Feel Too Good.) BEV BEVAN, drums & percussion and RICK PRICE on bass. SIDE ONE -- LOOKING ON (ROY WOOD); TURKISH TRAM CONDUCTOR BLUES (BEVAN); WHAT? (JEFF LYNNE); WHEN ALICE COMES BACK TO THE FARM (ROY WOOD). SIDE TWO -- OPEN UP SAID THE WORLD TO THE DOOR (JEFF LYNNE); BRONTOSAUROS (WOOD); FEEL TOO GOOD (ROY WOOD).
The album is a beautiful laminate printed by MACNEILL PRESS LTD., LONDON and is in MINT minus condition with only the slightest sign of wear. The vinyl is high gloss and appears to be unplayed.
