ORIGINAL first pressing on the TWINK label named after the former Pretty Things & Pink Fairies member ~ his own label featuring a powerhouse psychedelic sound combining elements of the Pink Fairies & Hawkwind mix to get PINKWIND....

The first Sun Festival was the three day Festival of the Sun, held at Whittington Norfolk England over the August Bank Holiday weekend of 1993. Headlined on the Saturday by Here & Now and on the Sunday by Pinkwind. Although the name “Pinkwind” has apparently been used in the past for various combinations of musicians from Hawkwind and Pink Fairies, this album’s claim to the name is that Nik Turner and Twink were involved. The opening track is “God Rock”, the music on which seems to bear no resemblance to the original version on NIk Turner's first solo album “Xitintoday”. Nik turns in a truly stoned-out vocal performance including (for freaky effect) a backing tape of choral singing monks is superimposed (“God Rock”, you see). The second track, “Cosmic Rock & Roll” is sonic rock and even better. Then, after some announcements, we get raucous, wild & raw  semi-coherent jams through Hawkwind classics “Silver Machine”  and “Master Of The Universe”. In any case, the following “Call Of The Tribes” is basically another freeform "psyched-out" jam, with words about, Hiawatha, the Indian goddess...All in all, the quality is like that of a pirate concert recording by Wizardo, instead, it's by the equally legendary TWINK who lovingly hand signs his name in black ink pen on front cover...(it's 100% authentic)

This artistic masterpiece was released some 15 years ago and long long sold out/deleted & now surely collectible
