Description
PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. Because of that dedication, there should be no need to open a resolution dispute before working with us. Please keep in mind, we would prefer to continue to provide you the opportunity to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our well over 18,000 positive feedback. We use an ultrasonic KLAudio machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING: USA ~ 1 LP = $4.00 Media Priority rates vary by area; please inquire. Hard to find STONE MINT ORIG 1968 first pressing on the highly collected rainbow Capitol label...the first of two strong albums by STAINED GLASS, neither of which turn up often, and worth the score...
The wonderful world of Crazy Horse Roads, released in 1968 by STAINED GLASS has been unjustly forgotten with the passing of time. The band started out life covering Beatles songs in San Jose, California. Their first single, a cover of the Beatles’ If I Needed Someone was released in 1966. It was a respectable cover of the Beatle classic though the flip was better, being a moody folk-rock original.
In the 1960’s, artists and rock bands depended on the success of the single to grant them artistic and creative control/freedom (making albums). We Got A Long Way To Go was a huge local hit, well executed, pleasant enough and professional, though betraying the band’s roots and creative aspirations. Eventually the band was granted freedom to record two albums on the famed Capital label.
Crazy Horse Roads is a unique effort, and much different from their jam oriented 2nd "Aurora" album. There are some solid psych pop songs (Night Cap, Twiddle My Thumbs and Fingerpainting), r&b rock (Two Make One and Fahrenheit), galloping rural-rock (Horse On Me) and hard folk-rockers (Light Down Below, Doomsday, I Sing You Sing, and Soap and Turkey). Doomsday really stands out as the lost mini classic though, with some huge vibrating fuzz riffs, hard strumming acoustic guitars, tight harmonies and a psychedelic production. Night Cap is also a really good bouncy, twisted psych pop song with a British influence. You never know what's coming next throughout the album and the band’s sound resembles Moby Grape, HMS Bounty and Buffalo Springfield.
Aurora, their second, released the following year (1969), is a good album finding the band indulging in a guitar based San Francisco ballroom style.
I Sing You Sing

- CONDITION:
- The cover: Rated: strong MINT in factory cellophane, same for back cover, perfect with NO wear ... almost all surviving copies have some or a lot of wear to the front and black back cover, with that consider this is a great/scarce collection copy from over 50 years ago. There are no split seams, no bends and no writing.
- The vinyl: Rated: still all glossy, visually MINT looks to be just opened and never played! Should be perfectly enjoyable here and frankly like a new/old discovery, improving with age of 52 years onward. Both rainbow Capitol labels are perfect flawless
