Description
Up for bid is MINK MUSSEL CREEK (Pre Tame Impala/Pond) "Mink Mussel Manticore" released by Spinning Top Music in 2014.
Cover is in Excellent Condition due to crease on right rear of jacket (see photo). Record is Still Sealed. Last picture depicts what item may look like.
Limited Pressing on 140 gram PURPLE Colored Vinyl, Only 500 Made, OUT OF PRINT! Comes with Mp3 Download. Only released in Australia.
A long long time ago something pretty good happened. A bevy of buddies decided to start making music with their hands, mouths and brains. They’d practice anywhere they could – one of their attics, their old school, behind the granny flat, anywhere they could play songs, write riffs and become masters of their instruments.
Not much time had to pass before they got really good at it, so they decided to give themselves a name and start playing some shows. And then a few more shows, and then a crapload of shows. In fact, 2007 saw Mink Mussel Creek play over 100 shows, even smashing through 10 in one week.
During this time, members had come and gone, but the end result was a ripper one with Nick Allbrook on vocals, Shiny Joe Ryan on guitar, Steve Summerlin on bass, Richard Ingham on synths and Kevin Parker on drums.
Roll on to 2008 where the guys start to lay down some of these tracks, with the help of a government grant. But it was not to be. After a protracted recording process, the songs were tracked in their entirety but due to a professional disagreement, the songs were withheld from the band. Vain attempts were made to secure the recordings with only the live tracks recorded to tape being recovered some time in 2009.
The damage was done. The turmoil this situation created along with divergent career paths and stagnation spelled an indefinite end to Mink Mussel Creek some time in 2008-9. In the process, Pond was born, Tame Impala began to be in hot demand around the world and Mink set up camp in the back of the cupboard.
Despite all the grim forebodings, drama and obstacles faced, the band and people close to it never gave up hope that the album would one day see the light of day and those songs would finally have full justice granted to them.
That day did indeed come.
Over the course of two weeks in January 2011 the band set up in the Norfolk Basement Fremantle and re-recorded every single note of that album entirely on their own – and did it better than before. Released on USB wristband, Mink Mussel Manticore was 7 tracks of radness, launched over two sold out nights at Norfolk to welcoming ears and eyes.
Fast forward to present day where a reunion gig may not be on the cards, but a re-release of Mink Mussel Manticore, this time digitally and long awaited vinyl, definitely is.

Delivery confirmation/tracking information will be provided. It is buyer's responsibility to track package, not seller. Seller not responsible if buyer negligent (i.e. away from home, on vacation, etc.) and does not take responsibility in having Post Office/trusted individual hold package. If information states it was delivered and buyer does not have it hand, buyer may want to contact their local Post Office.
Also NO REFUNDS if buyer: changes mind afterwards, claims they/someone else bid on item was mistake, has difficulty with any discount towards item (gift card, coupon, etc.) after sale, claims they received same item as gift without their knowledge, or any other "mistake". I am not responsible for other people's incompetence. Per Ebay: "Remember you should only bid on an item if you want to buy it. If you win, you must pay the seller." Records will be listed if sealed or unsealed. Seller not responsible for any internal damage due to shipping sealed records (ex: ripped printed sleeves or jacket). Item can be opened upon buyer's request and record will be shipped in paper sleeve alongside jacket in a polysleeve. Unsealed items will automatically be shipped in same manner mentioned above.
Records listed as sealed/unplayed means I have no knowledge if there are any audio defects (ex: clicks, pops, skips, audio quality, etc.), so seller cannot be blamed for this. Records listed as played (used records, usually) will have no skips. I play my records on a Technics SL-1200 MK2 w/a Stanton cartridge. Just because it doesn't skip on my player doesn't mean it won't skip on yours. I grade my used records conservatively (M, NM, EX, VG+, VG, and G).
Record jackets graded Near Mint are just that. Near Mint. NOT MINT. Meaning there are minor imperfections (ex: minor corner dings, creases, splits, etc.). Any major issues will be noted.

All items sent Priority Mail are insured.

Both options come with delivery confirmation. However, First Class weight limit is 4 pounds (1.8 kg) and uninsured. If concerned about item going missing, you may want to use the Priority Mail (insured) option if offered. If intent on buying multiple items and weight limit (4 lbs./1.8 kg) is exceeded, item will be sent Priority and buyer will pay for full shipping fee amount.
Buyer is responsible for all taxes/import fees ( I will not alter item's Ebay sale price on shipping label to compensate -this is shipping fraud). Buyer should take into consideration any additional fees beforehand.
