Massive clearance !!! Please note that I am getting rid of my last spare copy of records from my own collection,I am moving pretty soon and I really need to sell these to raise a bit of cash in order to do works in my new home.Being a genuine collector myself,it is always a heartbreaking experience to part from such items and I've never really been too keen on selling cos I usually trade/swap records but this time I don't really have the choice.Another thing before describing what is up for auction,I am not the sort of greedy bastard who doesn't know anything about minimal/synth and new wave and who just loves making money and noticed there was a strong revival of this kind of music.I can't ponce around all day visiting charity shops and second hand stores to hunt for records that I am going to resell later,and I'm always gutted when I see those weird geezers behaving despicably on Ebay trying to exploit the passion of true collectors,so I will start with very low prices,almost no reserves apart from a few mega rare items,so good luck and hope the records I really have to sell will find a good new home and a careful owner.

This is it,I thought I'd never do this but... builders are waiting outside my door with their hammers and if they don't get their cheque to start the works,they'll just smash the windows of my new house...That sums up the whole story...as explained before,if I didn't have to raise cash urgently,I'd never do such a crazy thing....Getting rid of this awesome item that was only pressed in a dozen copies I guess...

Well,I know what some of you are gonna think...but  will the spiteful talks of slimy jealous collectors convince you I'm just a crook who recorded the songs myself in my attic and then made a few records pretending I was a bloke called ROY YOUNG ???? (that's actually the sort of gossip that some mythomaniac collectors spread cos they just didn't want to admit that this recording existed...).You are NOT dreaming,you are about to bid on a promo test pressing by the most wanted minimal act ever TRANSPARENT ILLUSION.

Let me explain the story first and then ,you are invited to get in touch with me if you want to hear...Like many other collectors,we've all been on a quest for TRANSPARENT ILLUSION,this mysterious UK band,well it was a few years ago,I had many contacts in the UK cos I lived there for a long time myself and I probably got deeper than anybody else in this search.This item was handed to me by a guy who used to work in a pressing plant in England,I got his details through the man who produced and recorded all of Transparent Illusion's tracks,they used to be mates and he knew the guy kept original tapes and also pressed test pressing singles for bands at the time.

Let's make it clear (that's what I've always said),I CAN guarantee  that the recording is 200 % original and they are two tracks by Roy Young of TRANSPARENT ILLUSION,the only thing I CAN'T guarantee is the fact that it was pressed in the 80's...it might have be done later because the guy who gave this to me,keeps having records pressed here and there and he's the one who has loads of master tapes in his possession,he just sold this to me but was a bit lukewarm on telling me if it was pressed in 1981 or later.

This test pressing single is a white label in plain white sleeve with typed details about the track on sleeve.These two tracks are demo tracks made by TRANSPARENT ILLUSION before recording "Still Human" and "Vortex",they were recorded on the 18th of April 1980 (and this was confirmed by the man who produced and recorded them )cos I played it for him and he remembered clearly recording two demo songs in 1980 before meeting the band again in 1981 for the Still Human sessions.

A side is the very first demo version of VORTEX

B side is called CONCEPTS (some people accused me of having recorded a fake version myself of this track because my profile on Ebay is concept.of.xeno  ......),do ya think I'd be stupid enough to make a fake song and call it by my name ????? That is just a coincidence (nice one though...) and if only these people could understand and speak English properly,they would clearly hear in the chorus that Roy Young goes repeating "CONCEPTS" several times instead of the "DEMENTED" that you all know,yeah cos this track is the early 1st version of DEMENTED ,the lyrics and tunes are slightly different but you can recognise the track that was later to become DEMENTED...Amazing !

Both tracks are even more minimal than the LP version,sound quality is very good for a demo version,Roy fully exploited his Korg Monophonic keyboard here and you will easily recognise the Typical Transparent Illusion sound with their keyboard pads for the drum sounds and effects (no drum machines at all,just like in the LP).

I think you will shed tears as big as October cabbages when you hear the songs,and even bigger tears if you let this one go...

I'm gonna need to find another hobby when this one leaves my home (might try playing chess) or I will need to see a shrink to lose this feeling of frustration after parting from such a fantastic and impossible to find rarity...Don't let Nemo gulp it down before you !
