Outstanding 12 LP box set - all LPs near mint - from Miles Davis, Chronicle: The Complete Prestige Recordings, issued in a pressing of only 10,000 in 1980 by Prestige/Fantasy.  Housed in an oversized-book presentation with different slots bound in for each LP, along with a superb written overview of the music by Dan Morgenstern.  All twelve of the LPs are in top near mint condition, just like new, and almost all remain unplayed (I'm the original owner).  Interior is VG++ with a light bit of aging and a ding to one top corner.  Three-faced cardboard wrap-around to further protect the interior is included.  Outer box is VG+, fully intact and clean of any markings or surface/shelf wear.  Most of the corners are dinged, there is a 2” separation at the top of the spine where it meets the back cover (it’s not ripped away, but the binding has separated), and there are 1” and 2” portions of the spine at the bottom where the same kind of separation is beginning.  Just to reiterate, the binding is still fairly tight and the interior is not ripped away.  The spine is just showing wear typical of this particular release, in which box itself was not carefully designed to carry the heavy weight of the twelve LPs inside.  It’s a beautiful set in excellent condition.  Please see our other listings for similar items, all in exceptional condition – thanks!
