Description

Offered is one of the most influencial Jazz Recordings of the last century,  Sketches of Spain by Miles Davis.

It is the 1st Pressing from the Hollywood Pressing Plant (1960) on Columbia Records "Six Eye" Stereo Label,  CS 8271. This is the original "Deep Groove" Six Eye label, with the number 6 in the lower right corner of the back of the album cover.

THE VINYL -

The LP surfaces retain much of their original gloss, with minimal spindlewear evident (please see label photos in our Gallery). 

Bright, undamaged, Red and Black Columbia Stereo "Six Eye"  labels.  
 
Present on both sides are some light marks, including sleevewear from the original paper inner sleeve and hairlines that produce some occasional background noise.
 
There are no deep marks, and the stereo playback quality is strong and clear.

Side 2 -   Very Good +





THE COVER -    VG+ :  Please see photos / both seams and the spine are intact, with some fraying / the front cover (laminated) shows minor scuffing / a number is written lightly in pencil at 12 O'Clock on the back cover (please see photo) / the back cover shows some age-related yellowing, and a mark at the bottom (just up from the seam) toward the right corner.
    


We have placed both the cover and the LP into fresh,  protective plastic sleeves.
