MILES DAVIS + 19 'MILES AHEAD' LP COLUMBIA RECORDS MONO CL 1041 * * * MONO 6-EYE DEEP GROOVE pressing! With original and rare cover, which Davis was not pleased with. Later pressings show a picture of Miles blowing his horn.   This 1957 release was Davis' first session with Gil Evans, who Miles would work with later on some of his most beloved works, such as Porgy and Bess. Featured on this classic  are greats like Art Taylor, Lee Konitz, Bernie Glow, Ernie Royal, Luis Mucci, Taft Jordan, John Carisi, Frank Rehak, Jimmy Cleveland, Joe Bennett, Tom Mitchell, Willie Ruff, Tony Miranda, Jimmy Buffington, Bill Barber, Danny Bank, Romeo Penque, Sid Cooper, Edwin Caine,  and Paul Chambers.   Stamped matrix reads: XLP41762-1G and XLP 41763-1D. Includes original Columbia inner sleeve. This record has been cleaned on a professional VPI machine! An exceptionally clean disc - still glossy and very lustrous, with much of it's original sheen still in tact. Only a few slight surface marks are present on either side, which do not significantly affect playability or appearance. A truly beautiful and well kept record.)   LABELS:NM   COVER:VG++(This extremely well kept jacket looks fantastic. Only the slightest hint of any signs of wear are visible. If one inspects the jacket very closely, some faint ring wear and discoloration is visible on the back cover. The front cover also shows some extremely mild discoloration.  All corners nice and firm, with no significant creasing - only very light 'bumps', 2 of which have frayed just a tiny bit. These minor flaws do not even remotely distract from the overall pristine quality of this nice vintage jacket. Gorgeous!)     LOW STARTING BID! GREAT COPY! NO RESERVE!
