I've been going thru my massive vinyl record collection these past few weeks and pulling out some LPs that I thought that someone else would want for their collection. I've been collecting records for over 45 years and it's time to pass some of them on to the next generation of collectors.
This week on EBay I am offering up this fantastic Dutch pressing from 1973 of the classic Miles Davis Quintet and sextet recorded live at Newport in 1956 and 1958.
This is my original copy, purchased back in the mid 70's, shortly after it's release, that I've taken great care of for many years. See details on Condition below.

There has been debate whether Paul Chambers actually plays Bass on side B, but his sound and style are clearly evident on Side A. This Dutch pressing also lists Paul Chambers as playing drums!, so the information on the back of the jacket is questioned by Miles Davis experts.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jazz groups, especially Miles Davis' bands of the late 50s, were always best when playing live and this album supports that theory.
This album contains 3 different live performances. The classic quintet live at Newport from 1956 and 1958 and a great version of 'Green Dolphin Street' from the Blackhawk in San Francisco from 1961. Miles' playing is relaxed, smooth and elegant. A master of his trumpet.
Coltrane, as usual, is very much on fire while Cannonball Adderley plays fluid and slightly edgy, also in top form. The sound and tone of all 3 horn players is fantastic.
The great Bill Evans is on Piano on most tracks. His distinctive style is noted on both "Green Dolphin Street" and "Fran Dance"
The 1958 concert on Side B is fantastic and a must hear.
The quality isn't Audiophile crisp, but It's quite good for live concerts from the late 50s
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ CONDITION: I tried to show good hi-resolution photos of the cover, labels and vinyl in my pictures.
I purchased this copy back in the mid 70's, 50 years ago, and have taken great care of it since.
VINYL: The vinyl looks excellent, EXCEPT, for a light 'scratch' at the beginning of side 2, over the first version of 'Green Dolphin' (See pics). It looks much worse than it is. It's light, shallow and non-palpable. There is a slight 'tick' when playing, but it plays thru fine.
Otherwise the vinyl is clean and bright. No other serious scuffs, palpable scratches, or dings. It looks fantastic and I'm sure you'll be very happy with it.
I tried to show some close-up pictures of the vinyl to show how good it looks, and details of the barely audible 'scratch.' I'm sure you'll be happy with it.
Pressed on nice thick vinyl, unlike most U.S. records in 1973.
I haven't messed with this record, or cleaned it, other than my trusty 'DiscWasher' brush, in 50 years, since Nixon was in office. It could use a good deep cleaning to make it even better looking and better sounding than it already is. 
LABELS: This is pressed with orange Dutch CBS labels. The labels are clean and bright. No marks or damage. The spindle holes are still sharp and clean, suggesting minimal playing and my careful handling over the years.

JACKET: As you can see from my pictures, this still looks very nice for a 50 year old OG copy. The corners are slightly 'bumped' but not bad. A very clean jacket otherwise. No seam splits, straight spine, no marks, names or writing.
This all black jacket, with an all-white back, is notorious for showing ringwear, dirt, scuffs and damage, but this copy is still quite nice. Some mild corner wear but otherwise quite nice for a 50 year old record from Holland. The original gloss is still present. The artwork is bold and bright. A nice survivor.
Overall, I'll call the whole record VG++. A very nice copy except for the light 'scratch' at the start of side 2.
This record has been sleeved and stored properly for decades, and is still quite nice for an old 1973  import pressing. I'm sure you'll love it.

I visually inspect all records under bright light, personally gently clean them with a soft cloth and then, if unsure, play them on a modern high-end turntable to get a true picture of condition. Please look at all the high-resolution pictures I added. They are all my own and are of the actual record being sold. The pictures are part of the description and can show small details, label variations, and condition better than I can put into words.
