Description
Vintage copy of the 1957 Miles Davis "Miles Ahead" LP Columbia mono CL1041 with the original cover depicting a woman and child on a sailboat which was replaced on later releases at Davis' request. This is not a reissue.
The jacket is rated in "VG+" condition because it has a 1/4" seam split on the lower right corner (photo #7); all other seams are intact and there is no ringwear.
The vinyl is in "NM" condition with only a few superficial paper scuffs; there is no spindle wear; matrix numbers end with 1G/1F (see photos).
Grading is based on the following criteria:
“SS” Still Sealed – For the collector that demands nothing but perfection.
“M” Mint - a near perfect or unplayed record.
“NM” Near Mint - in factory fresh condition, like new.
“EX+” close to like new with only superficial signs of use that don't affect play. Will satisfy all but the most vain and demanding collector.
“EX” a used, reasonable copy. Shows slight signs of wear.
“VG+” There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility a few skuffs and/or light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still quite nice.
