'MILES AHEAD' LP
Original U.S. Columbia Label
Cat No CL1041 with 'Six-Eye' Deep Groove Label Design and 'Woman On Sailing Boat' Sleeve.
Offered for sale here is the very rare version of this classic LP with the Woman and Child on Boat image that was later withdrawn at Miles's request.
The Label has the original 'six-eye' design with the grooved recess approx threequarters of the way between spindle hole and label outer edge.
Condition-wise, the vinyl is hard to fault. In all seriousness it could be unplayed. The playing surfaces are both clean shiny and unblemished without a mark, line or scratch. It would easily qualify for an Excellent Grading, and probably Near Mint.
The Outer Sleeve is of the usual non-laminated US design. It has lost its cellophane protection and therefore been exposed to the environment with the usual result. However whilst its appearance has been dulled, there are no marks, no writing, no splits or tears, just shelfwear and handling wear. It is completely robust and undamaged.
The album comes with the added bonus of its original Columbia Innersleeve which again is undamaged. No tears, no writing, no blemishes.
