Description
MILES DAVIS: COLUMBIA Records CL-1355 (Mfd in the USA in the late 50's or early 60's) KIND OF BLUE - TRAX Are: SIDE ONE: SO WHAT, FREDDIE FREELOADER, BLUE IN GREEN - SIDE TWO: FLEMENCO SKETCHES, ALL BLUES - This is the original DJ Pre-Release PROMO pressing--NOT a reissue. Legendary, and very hard to find. The cover is in Good Minus condition, with shelfwear and a lot of edge wear; there is also a tear and split at the top at the open side. There is nothing unusual about the cover. It's the same MONO cover with no DJ or PROMO stamps or marks on it. The label is clean and almost new on both sides. Side One has a very small tear at the bottom of the M in Columbia. As I said, it's very small, and I don't know how it got there. The vinyl record has some light scuffs, like "paper scuffs." It has it's original Gloss and it looks nicely at VG+/VG++. It must have been played with a heavy 50's stylus and Tone Arm. SIDE ONE plays VG and Better. SIDE TWO plays G/VG-. I've posted some audio clips from both sides of this record at: www.gate.net/~rhanes/mdavislpkindadj.ra - If you click onto this hyperlink, you can download them as REAL AUDIO FILES and listen for yourself. The first clips are from SIDE TWO, followed by better sounding clips from SIDE ONE. I can ship this anywhere in the USA Media Rate for $4.00. The POST OFFICE LOSES PACKAGES, don't blame me if it happens to you. If bidding on this reaches $50, and it ships to a non-US buyer, Registered Mail will be required, but I'll pay $4 of the $11.50 Registered Mail fee. If it sells for over $120. to a non-US Bidder, it will have to ship Air Priority, which will run around $30. Since I will have to insure it, I will have to declare full sales value; if paying other than Paypal, I can ship it any way you want. Paypal rules make it very difficult and expensive to ship anything out of the country now, since they require on-line Tracking Numbers. You can't get that with simple First Class International shipping. No reserve. Good luck!
