Description
Very rare early 60s Columbia Records reissue of Miles Davis's "Jazz Track" compilation with a rare alternate cover to the 1958 original. Red Columbia "2-Eye" mono labels. The 1st side is Miles' soundtrack to the classic French film "Ascenseur Pour L'Echafaud" (called "Frantic" on its initial USA release, aka "Lift to the Scaffold" or "Elevator to the Gallows"). The 2nd side has an amazing 3-song session from the Miles Davis Sextet, featuring John Coltrane and Bill Evans. Gorgeous warm analog mono sound on thick 60s vinyl, a fabulous collectors' item.
VPI cleaned, amazing condition for its age, vinyl in strong VG+ condition, plays excellent, very clean. The thick cover is VG+ as well, some normal shelf wear and a small name written on back cover, overall still looks very good for its age (55+ years!).
Packed and shipped with care. You can combine any records I am selling for a significant shipping discount. Thanks.
