Description
I've just bought been given a really nice copy of "Cookin'" and so am selling my original Esquire copy from 1958.
It's a really nice Rudy Van Gelder produced copy of 'Cookin' ' and features the legendary lineup of Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Red Garland, Paul Chambers and Philly Joe Jones. The RVG is clearly visible in the run-off grooves.
Visually the vinyl might merit an Ex- grading as there are no apparent blemishes of any sort but there is a slight bit of crackle in the quieter passages which is understandable for its 60 years of age. I therefore grade it as VG+. It nevertheless plays really well.
The cover is fairly clean on the front with a small amount of creasing . On the back it is quite dirty and has more marking. There are no tears. I would grade it as VG.
This is a rare, much sought-after album so don't miss out.
