Description
Up for auction is the classic "COLLECTORS ITEMS" by Miles Davis. If you are looking at this, there is no need for any explanation on the greatness of this recording (one of so many by Miles).
Davis is playing here with Sonny Rollins and Philly Joe Jones making timeless, incredible music...this is the original pressing, Rudy Van Gelder's RVG stamp in the dead wax, glossy front cover and the 50th Street address in NYC. Rarely do I come across original jazz lp's these days! Exceptional.
VINYL: VG to VG+, play tested. Side A has a mark/scuff on the last two tracks which I tried to capture in the photos. Side B has sleeve scuffs however NO SKIPS at all! Played on personal THORENS 180 deck and it sounded bright and crisp with slight pops.
COVER: VG+, bright gloss image on front and back has pencil price written as many records back then did. Also, 2" split on top and corners slightly bent from storage. Quite nice - be sure to see the many photos to get a good survey on what exactly will arrive in the mail. As a little bonus, I am shipping this with the original rice paper inner sleeve to be complete.
