Description

MILES DAVIS 6-EYE COLUMBIA WHITE LBL STEREO PROMO! - KIND OF BLUE - 1A/1AE - JAZZ HOLY GRAIL!

We’ve got a winner, here! Very hard to come by white label promo of a stone-cold classic album that should be in every American home! 1A/1AE stampers!

Columbia CS 8163, 5-track, 12” stereo album; released 1959
Side 1 matrix: XSM47326-1A
Side 2 matrix: XSM47327-1AE
Both the record label and the cover have the track titles reversed for side 2

Vinyl is Very Good Plus; very glossy, with some scuffs and scratches; label shows some minimal spindle marking, still, looks pretty good and even with some occasional low-level tics, it PLAYS BEAUTIFULLY!

Cover is just Good - no seam splits; shouldn’t be too tough to find a replacement; please see photos for the various flaws

Personnel:

Miles Davis - trumpet
John Coltrane - tenor sax
Julian “Cannonball” Adderley (tracks: A1, A2, B1, B2) - alto sax
Bill Evans (tracks A1, A3 - B2) - piano
Wynton Kelly (track A2) - piano
Paul Chambers - bass
Jimmy Cobb - drums

Tracks:

Side 1:
So What
Freddie Freeloader
Blue In Green

Side 2 (as pressed):
All Blues
Flamenco Sketches

General info:
I grade records using the Goldmine Magazine grading system and tend to be conservative in my grading. There’s at least one comment in my feedback on eBay mentioning that the record received was better than described.

If there is a visual issue with a record that requires play-grading it, the record will be played on a well-tweaked & balanced vintage Rotel turntable, with the cartridge/tonearm weight set at 1 gram. No bulldozing through the grooves with heavy weighting to mask defects.

Unless it is a factory-sealed item, your vinyl will be shipped outside of its original cover/sleeve (if included) to avoid seam-splits, in a dedicated record mailer, with cardboard filler panels, as well as bubble-wrap, to help insure safe delivery. Besides having filler strips along all edges, the perforations on the shipping carton will be formed into “bumpers,” providing superior protection

I have many years of experience at buying/selling/trading records and music memorabilia. Though I don’t have a long sales history on eBay, I have had had some excellent feedback:

“Super fast shipping!!!! A++ Great EP!!!! Great Packaging!!”
“Great seller! Fast shipping, nice thick packaging, LP just as described. Thanks!”
“Better condition than described. Quick service, durable packaging.”
“Great service, and item matched listing. Highly recommended.”
“Fantastic Seller! Super fast shipping! Best packaging I have ever seen!”
“Great seller! Quick, easy transaction. Record is in great shape!”
“Beautiful lp, fast and safe shipping. A+++++++++++++++++++++++”
“Super nice album expertly packaged with quick postage, 5* seller, thank-u”

Bid with confidence!

This, and most all listings to follow, will be drawn from my personal collection of 40+ years. Look for more hard to come by pieces in the future!
