...1971 U.K. BLUE HORIZON VINYL LP ORIGINAL ( complete with the rare lyrics insert !) -

This is one of the rarest albums from the definitive U.K. 'Progressive Blues Rock' Blue Horizon Label Catalogue ! (must be one of the top 3 rarest ! ...Apart from the Doctor Isaiah Ross 'Flying Eagle' LP & the compilation LP 'Let Me Tell You About The Blues', this is probably the other rarest U.K. Blue Horizon LP !!! ...Blue Horizon was, of course, Mike Vernon's own label ! ...Mike Vernon was one of the 'Blues-Rock' genre greatest exponents and this is his own record on his own label ! ...The music on this album incorporates aspects of rock, psych, prog., folk, blues, acid, etc.. (Amazing blues based Prog. Rock !) / The album was also (very obviously !) produced by Mike Vernon ! ...This is an incredibly rare album and features loads of talented and well known musicians ; Rory Gallagher, Paul Kossoff (both sadly deceased and greatly missed ! R.I.P. !)... features as well, Rick Hayward, Pete Wingfield, Kenny Lamb, Dick Parry, Paul Butler and Laurie Garmon ! ...The album features exquisite sound, quality and superb tracks ! ...Mike Vernon of Blue Horizon fame certainly was something of a musical genius !!! ...

Now to the description and grading of the album itself - The LP Sleeve is of a very thin fragile design ; it is unlaminated, lightweight and slightly textured ! ...There is therefore minor and slight wear to the edges/seams, (probably from being kept in a record storage unit... I think it would probably be impossible these days to get an absolutely perfect sleeve, because of the type of sleeve it is !) and there's some 'rubbing' wear down the spine, although the wording, 'MIKE VERNON' & 'BLUE HORIZON SUPER 2931 003' can be clearly seen, so it's not really bad ! ...There are no major problems however, i.e. no tears, no writting, etc.. and the front and back pictures are still great ; clean, clear and unblemished ! ...The sleeve is printed & made by The E.J.Day Group ! ...As per my description, I would therefore still grade the sleeve as being in generally Excellent Condition, (i.e. EX.) ! ...The album comes with the rare orange song lyrics insert, so often missing from this album, which also features a photo picture of Mike Vernon ! ...This is made of thin paper card and is in remarkably good condition ! ...There is one very small hardly noticed crease at the top right-hand corner but no other blemishes, no dirty marks or smudges, no writting, no tears, etc.. and it is clean and clearly readable ! ...I would therefore grade this lyric insert as being in Excellent Plus Condition, (i.e. EX+) ! ...(The album also comes with the original 'Made in England, with British Patent numbers' plain white inner sleeve ! ...This I would grade as being in VG+ condition, for no other trivial reason other than that the poly-lining is missing, which is nothing really  !) ...The Blue Horizon labels are in perfect condition, with just a few light spindle 'trace' lines near the centre spindle hole ! ...I would therefore grade the labels as being in EX+ near perfect condition and as described ! ...The Vinyl itself has no nasty marks, no blemishes, no scratches, etc.. and just a couple of the very lightest small hairlines from only being removed from the inner sleeve ! ...It retains it's deep black gloss visual appearance when viewed under a bright lightbulb and obviously hasn't been played a great deal ! ...There is, however, a slight warp on the vinyl only evident when it's turning on the record 'deck' ; This is not a particularly bad or serious concern as it's only slight - I've played the whole of the album on two of my top-end record decks and there are no problems whatsoever - crystal clear and unblemished sound quality throughout, guaranteed ! ...It plays clearly and perfectly ; no ticks, no clicks, no pops, no hiss and no crackle throughout the whole album - perfect and totally enjoyable listening pleasure ! ...I guarantee this with certainty as I listened to it very carefully on two occasions and I'm listening to it again as I write this description ! (I can't believe how great the album is ! Superb stuff !) ...

...Anyway, to finalise this grading and description of the album, I would have to say that it is in overall Excellent Condition ! (i.e. graded in overall EX. condition !)...
