Sleeve is NM-( nice,tight,flat, only a hint of ringwear on back, edges and spine are NICE) / Vinyl is NM-(nice sheen, looks really nice like it was not played much, only one or two light surface marks, BUT there are many little pits in the vinyl which are on all copies do to poor pressing equipment not do to wear)
This record plays great with NO SKIPS or LOUD EXTENDED POPS OR CLICKS there IS some surface noise due to poor pressing quality common with this lp but the noise is only really noticable at lead in and trail off the MUSIC plays loud and clear
To be clear the vinyl shows only a very little wear due to handling.The Labels are nice with no spindle marks I would guess it was not handled or played much. The low pressing quality shows on all copies and it was pressed on HEAVY vinyl

The consistency of this artist is amazing in itself, and then there's the superb arrangement and bandleading from his sidekick Bert Inniss. The sound of the bands and the way they are recorded has the appeal of a plate piled high with steaming delicacies. This album also benefits from one of this genre's best aspects, the topical nature of the lyrics. In itself this might not be enough to make some of the songs into classics of calypso, but that is where the Mighty Sparrow comes in with his droll wit. There are two real masterpieces here, "Martin Luther King" and "Castro Eating Banana." In the former case, one can forget Dion and the maudlin "Abraham, Martin and John," because this is a tribute that won't quit, consisting in effect of a campaign song for a King presidency. The song about Castro is funnier, describing a photograph of the Cuban leader eating a banana and the shocking effect seeing it might have on small children. Other songs deal with local issues that might not mean much to most listeners, such as "Mrs. Robinson and Lock Joint," which deals with a controversy called the "Sewerage Scheme" and has nothing to do with the middle-aged floozy that Simon & Garfunkel sing about. Nonetheless, the singer's delivery and the snappy music will have listeners laughing, even if they don't know at what. "I'll Be Around" is a gentle, swaying bossa nova, extremely well played by the band. Elsewhere these mystery plays provide good sax solos and snippets of jittery percussion. The album is a bit on the short side, but some might overlook that because of the tough, hearty slab of vinyl it is pressed on.

With his ultra-sweet vocals and lyrics that speak of romance and topical politics, Mighty Sparrow (born Slinger Francisco) rose to the upper echelon of Trinidadian calypso. Best known for his hits "Jean and Dinah" in 1956 and "Carnival Boycott" in 1957, Sparrow is an 11-time winner of the calypso monarchy and an eight-time winner of Trinidad and Tobago's Carnival Road March competition. Born to a poor working-class family in Gran Roi, a small fishing village in Grenada, Sparrow moved to Trinidad at the age of one. Learning to sing in the boy's choir of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, he became the head choirboy. At the age of 14, he formed a steel band to perform at the Carnival, sparking his interest in calypso. Teaching himself to play guitar, Sparrow began to write his own songs. Winning the Carnival competition with "Jean and Dinah," he received a grand prize of 40 dollars. In protest, he wrote a scorching indictment of the Trinidadian music industry, "Carnival Boycott." Despite his refusal to compete in the Carnival contests for the next three years, Sparrow became one of the Caribbean's most successful artists.
