This album collects 12 of the group’s earliest, sexiest, ground-breaking singles released in the early 1950's.  This, simply put, is the roots of all Rock & Roll.

PLEASE NOTE: Discologs.com web site claims that there are three color variations of the cover, showing the group against a red background, a yellow background, and – according to the site - the rarest of all, a white background. We are not sure where this information is coming from and how accurate it is. We believe  there are only two color variations: red and yellow (the “white” may have been  faded or paler subset of the yellow variant)  . The white background colored covers do exist – but ONLY on 10” versions of the album. Red background covers – such as the one we are offering here – are infinitely more difficult to find than the yellow ones.

(IMPORTANT NOTE: unless otherwise noted, ALL records are graded visually, and NOT play-graded!; we  grade records under the strong, diffuse room light or discrete sunlight)

(a)          CAUTION! The vinyl is only GOOD (G), with multiple, numerous,  scuffs which are BOTH visible AND audible. The record plays with bearable BUT AUDIBLE surface noise and some pops and clicks. The record plays without skipping throughout. This record WAS play-graded.

(b)          The record has a "deep groove" (an indent in the label about 1/2-inch from the edge of the label, which on SOME labels is associated with very early or first pressings).

(c)           This is the original flat edge  pressing

(d)            The record is pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!

(e)             Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!

·       COVER (THIS IS THE ORIGINAL, GLOSSY, LIGHTLY LAMINATED COVER):

THE COVER IS ABOUT VERY GOOD+(+)

The following flaws or imperfections are noted on the cover:

-        Cover has a partially split top seam (between 2 and 4 inches  / 5 to 10 centimeters)

-        Cover has a light "wrinkle" (crease)  in one of the corners.

-         Cover has a partially split bottom seam (less than 1 inch / 2.5 centimeters)

-         Cover has some light yellowish stains, probably from exposure to humidity (nothing significant) (less than 2 square inches in size).

-         Cover has some light ring wear (nothing significant); On the scale from 1 to 10 (1 being the least, and  10 being the most severe), we assess the severity of ring wear as 2 (front side) and 4 (back side)

-         Cover shows some light yellowing on back side, apparently from aging.

-         Minor shelf wear noted on the seams (nothing significant)

NO OTHER IMPERFECTIONS ON THE COVER:

-        No cut-out (drill) holes.

-        No cut-out corners

-        No saw-marks or indents

-        No writing

-        No stamps

-        No tearing: no chips, dents or nicks on the seams

-        No peel-off marks

-        No mold or mildew spots

-        No stickers or labels

-        No water damage

-        No razor marks, scratches, pressure marks, lines, streaks, or  cuts.

-        No warping

-        No wax, glue, paint or liquid drops on the cover

-        No glue traces or wax residue.

-        No bar codes

-        No RIAA stamps or stickers.
