Mickey Baker was undeniably one of the best and influential guitarists of early rock n' roll. Sylvia Vanderpool (Robinson) re-emerged in the 70s with "Pillow Talk" and later co-founded SUGARHILL RECORDS. Together they recorded some exciting R&B/RnR hybrid music! Stunning RCA demo on two separate discs. A COMPLETE SET! It was common practice in the 50s and early 60s to release demos on two discs with the flipsides having no labels. The labels also had different colour than the regular release (except maybe DECCA). These are indeed, extremely rare to come by! YOU ARE BIDDING ON TWO RECORDS! Note that index number (rubber-stamped on) and duration (written on with biro) was common practice.You may never come across this complete set of demos on RCA!
DESCRIPTION : Vinyl A is VERY GOOD+++! Just 2-3 of the thinnest hairlines from inserting the record into the sleeve, obviously. Playback is MINT! Vinyl B is Near Mint.Very shiny vinyl. Sound quality is exquisite! Fresh white generic covers.
