Very rare early album from german composer Michael Vetter on the Corona label, electronics & flute.

Some info on the release:  Rare german release from the 70's on the Corona label (known also for releasing the Reinhold Weber albums). Early material from Michael Vetter, quite before his "Zen" series or his Overtones albums on Wergo Spectrum. This one features pieces of a more "avant-garde" perspective mixed up with tape music and experimental electronics. 4 of the 6 tracks of the album were composed from Klaus Hashagen, Jurg Baur, Dieter Schonbach and Rob du Bois. A must have.

Michael Vetter was born in 1943 in Oberstdorf Allgäu. He studied theology and between 1970 and 1982 spent most of his time in Japan as a Zen monk. A self taught musician and painter he became known as a performer and composer of experimental music for recorder. He was discovered by Karlheinz Stockausen in 1969 and was invited to participate in his then current "intuitive music". Although Vetter dedicated himself in the 1970s to a systemmatic framework of musical concepts he was increasingly engaged in developing the expressive possibilities of the voice. In the Sri Aurobindo Ashram in Pondicherry Michael Vetter has held a month-long course on OM; in Bremen cathedral as well as many other European churches he has sung his "Overtone Oratorio." In the same period he recited and played in Paris, Basel, Vienna, Tokyo and elsewhere his provocative "Spoken Music". Though the tambura for centuries has served as an accompanying instrument in Indian classical music Vetter has been able to reveal astonishing soloistic dimensions in the instrument which he has presented in evening long compositions which where offered for discussion at the international Music Encounter in Bombay in January 1983. Alongside the musitiun Vetter's concept of "trans verbal language" stands the painter Vetter's "trans-verbal writing". His cordless, novel Hand Gestures appeared in 1973 which deals in port with the transforming and communicating ability of individual and ethnic writing forms.

1966-89 worked as a music department Klaus Hashagen the Bavarian Radio / Studio Franken in Nuremberg. He continued the work of his predecessor Willy Spilling on, especially in the field of Musica Antiqua , the folk song and contemporary music. 1968 he initiated the founding of the ars nova ensemble Nuremberg (Director: Werner Heider) and day called the ars-nova-to life. Electronic Music and Art , he promoted through audiovisual concerts, video - and sound installations in the Meistersingerhalle, the Kunsthalle in Nuremberg churches.

Together with Klaus Bernbacher, Bernhard Bosse, Fritz Büchtger, Eckart Rohlfs and Josef Anton Riedl, Klaus Hashagen built the German section of the Jeunesses Musicales and headed to the International Summer School in Schloss Weikersheim . In the new music newspaper he was 30 years editor for new scores, the Nuremberg Meistersinger Conservatory founding chairman of the association and - together with Werner Andreas Albert and Wolfgang Graetschel - 1977 Founder of the Chamber Academia Sancta Katharina, a forum for joint concerts and broadcast productions for teachers and students. As a composer, Klaus Hashagen created choral music - including many religious works, inspired by an encounter with Buber in the early 1950s - also concertante pieces for solo and ensemble or orchestra and chamber music (with emphasis on percussion and electronics),. He worked with various stylistic means: Chanson sound stands next Musique concrète, Major - Minor - tonality in addition to the serial technique he studied with René Leibowitz . From the 1960s he moved into work in cycles as the mobile scene aleatoric elements, and tested the possibilities of "instrumental theater". His particular interest was a specific music for the medium of radio . In his radio speaking "compositions he sat down with surround sound effects and the current means of sound synthesis apart, up to the live electronics.

The composers on this record belong to the great avant-garde/experimental composers "wave" that appeared in Europe in the 60's/70's/80's with main representators composers like Hans Werner Henze, Mauricio Kagel, György Kurtág, Wolfgang Rihm and Salvatore Sciarrino, Heinz Holliger, Brian Ferneyhough, and György Ligeti and Bruno Maderna, Henri Pousseur or more widely Bernd Alois Zimmermann, John Cage, Bruno Maderna, Jani Christou, Iannis Xenakis and of course Pendercki.

Condition: Vinyl lies in mint- condition, looks crystal clear with only a a thin "hairline" mark that does not affect playing and plays nicely with some occasional crackle, while cover lies in excellent condition with a small corner bending.
