A HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER PRIVATE PRESSING - A PROTO BRIT-PSYCH CLASSIC WITH MONY PYTHON CONNECTIONS - COMPLETE & ORIGINAL IN VERY GOOD+ CONDITION
THE OXFORD UNIVERSITY EXPERIMENTAL THEATRE CLUB (ETC) & OXFORD THEATRE GROUP (OTG) present:
SEVEN A SIDE - A 14 Track 12" LP of sketches & song - Performed (amongst others) by Michael Palin - Terry Jones is also credited as a co-song writer in one instance, Nigel Rees also features.
Granada TV connections abound - produced by DAVID PLOWRIGHT, Dick Durden-Smith's family also had similar connections.
MJB Recording And Transcription Service – A 33rpm private pressing LP recorded in Oxford, November 1964 - released 1965 - the label is dated JANUARY 1965. NOT PLAY TESTED: Studied under strong light with magnifying glass. A USED, BUT NOT ABUSED COPY. Vinyl still has the sheen of a rarely played copy. There are a few very light scuffs, some light spidering; Side 2 is also good, but there is a light scratch visible, which I have attempted to capture in photos. The whole package is complete & usable; I imagine playback will have that ‘characterful’ vinyl rumble.
Wonderful mid 1960's graphics & typefaces pressed by MJB RECORDING & TRANSCRIPTION SERVICE label with a stamp indicating this is a private pressing (for Purchase Tax?). Record housed in protective vinyl inner sleeve; outer sleeve is thin card flipback sleeve - no titles on spine - Labels have storage wear, good clean colours still & light spindle wear visible under magnifying glass. Generic Regal Zonophone sleeve is Vg/Ex & features adverts for contemporary LPs by Procol Harum & The Move. All as original & has been stored in vinyl protective sleeve, which it will also be sent in, housed in solid cardboard mailer.
As original, this is a private pressing on played vinyl & is very scarce.This should be a fine usable copy:- PLEASE SEE PHOTOS & CONDITION DESCRIPTION.
